How to send your cutting-head enquiry
Use our contact form and add the machine type, the head model if you know it, and the fault you see on the cut edge or during piercing. If the issue follows a crash, a noisy focus movement, a lens mark or an unstable height signal, add that detail too.
- Material type and thickness range
- Nozzle size and whether it is single layer or double layer
- Focus setting concerns, gas path checks or sensor faults
- Whether the job needs bench service or on-site alignment
Details that help us plan the job
Photographs are useful when a ceramic ring is cracked, a protective window is clouded, or the head shows signs of heat, spatter or a clamp mark. A short note on what changed first helps us separate nozzle centring issues from lens contamination or capacitive sensing drift.
- What happened before the fault appeared
- Any recent lens cleaning or window replacement
- Whether the cut edge shows dross, taper or striations
- The town or plant where the machine is working
Spartan base and the areas we cover
Our base is in Spartan, Kempton Park, with support available across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Durban, Cape Town, Rustenburg and the East Rand. We also assist sheet-metal operations that need spare head preparation, head seal rebuilds or crash damage inspection when production issues make a bench visit impractical.
For local work in Gauteng, the team can plan bench servicing around your machine schedule. For other provinces, we arrange field alignment and inspection where access, machine type and site conditions allow it.
Bench service, field alignment and parts support
Some heads need strip-down work on the bench, where alignment, seal condition, focus setting checks and lens seating can be checked properly. Other cases call for on-site head alignment, especially when the cut pattern suggests height sensing drift or nozzle centring trouble after a crash.
- Bench Head Service
- On-site Head Alignment
- Nozzle Centring and Focus Setting Check
- Protective Window Replacement and Lens Cleaning
- Ceramic Ring Replacement and Capacitive Sensor Check
What to include on the form
In the message box, describe the cut condition, the metal type, the head symptoms and the service you need. If you are asking about a protective window, a focus lens, a collimator lens or a complete spare head setup, say whether the machine is idle or still running with reduced quality.
Clear notes make it easier to match the work to the parts on hand and the checks needed on site or in the shop.
Speak to the Raytool team through this page
Marius Johannes van der Merwe leads the business from Spartan with Thandiwe Rapetswa, Jaco Essop, Lerato Tau, Anele Daniels and Willem Pretorius supporting service, parts and technical checks. Send the enquiry through our contact form and include enough detail for the right person to pick up the work from the start.
If the issue is a recurring cut fault, a damaged nozzle seat, or a head that needs careful cleaning routines after heavy use, tell us that clearly in the note.
